Yes. A security bond applies to vehicle hire.

The applicable bond and excess depend on your selected protection option and booking conditions. Refer to your quote and Rental Agreement for the amount applying to your booking.

No. Pets are not currently permitted in our rental vehicles.

Your 4WD camper is collected from your selected depot in Perth, Broome or Darwin.

Your booking confirmation will contain the relevant depot details and collection information for your trip.

We complete a detailed vehicle handover so you understand the vehicle, camping equipment, rooftop tent, safety equipment and important operating procedures before departure.

Yes. Please bring your valid driving licence and any other documentation requested as part of your booking or security arrangements.

One full-size spare tyre is provided. Important vehicle and tyre information is covered as part of your handover before departure.

Authorised drivers may use the vehicle on sealed roads and formed gravel roads in Australia, subject to local laws, road conditions and any directions from 4xploring Rentals.

Driving on unformed tracks is prohibited, as are the Canning Stock Route, Fraser Island, the Old Telegraph Track section of Cape York and Yardie Creek in Cape Range National Park.

You must also remain above the high-tide mark and observe the speed restrictions contained in your Rental Agreement.

Some Aboriginal lands, national parks and other regions may require permits or specific permission before entry.

We recommend checking access requirements before travelling and obtaining any permits required for your planned route.

You are responsible for ensuring your route complies with applicable laws, permits, road closures and the conditions of your Rental Agreement.

Beach driving may be permitted where the road or beach is authorised for vehicle access and your route complies with the conditions of your Rental Agreement.

Always follow local access rules, signage, conditions and any directions provided by 4xploring Rentals.

Vehicles must remain above the high-tide mark and away from saltwater.

We explain the supplied recovery and safety equipment during your vehicle handover.

If you have limited off-road experience, we also recommend completing a 4WD training day before your trip.

Your vehicle must be returned at the agreed time specified in your Rental Agreement. Late returns may incur additional charges.

Please return the vehicle in a clean and tidy condition.

Remove rubbish, sand and excessive dirt from the vehicle, return the camping equipment clean and accounted for, and refuel the vehicle as required under your Rental Agreement.

Bedding should be stripped and left in the designated area of the vehicle for collection.

Return the camper in the condition required under your Rental Agreement, with the interior tidy, rubbish removed and the supplied equipment returned to its correct storage locations.
