Our Story
Born from a love of remote Western Australia and built to help more travellers unlock unforgettable off-road adventures.
HOW IT STARTED
Built From a Genuine Love of Adventure
4xploring Rentals was created so more travellers could experience Western Australia the way we do: off the beaten track, with the right vehicle, the right equipment and the confidence to explore further.
Early on, we saw a gap in the market. Premium, comfortable 4WD campers with thoughtful touring setups were difficult to find, so we built our own fleet around practical layouts, reliable components and genuine experience from the road.
Every vehicle, setup and service has continued to evolve through real travel, customer feedback and our own passion for exploring Australia.

The People Behind 4xploring Rentals
Our team combines practical off-road experience, vehicle knowledge, logistics, creative capability and a shared passion for helping travellers experience Australia.
Director
Jerrad Jeffrey
Jerrad grew up in New Zealand and worked in the automotive industry before moving to Perth in 2014. His passion for cars, 4WDs and camping began with family trips through Central Otago.
Since relocating to Western Australia, he has explored as much of the state as possible and now helps make those same remote experiences accessible through carefully prepared touring vehicles.
Favourite destinations: Exmouth and the East Kimberley.
Director & General Manager
Stefan Cole
Stefan has been enjoying camping since childhood, from family holidays in the Coromandel and weekend trips with friends to travelling Western Australia with his partner and young family.
Turning that passion into a career has allowed him to help others enjoy the remote landscapes, touring routes and unforgettable experiences Western Australia has to offer.
Favourite destinations: The Kimberley in winter and Wharton’s Beach, Esperance, in summer.
Director
Glen Mackay
Glen grew up in New Zealand with a strong passion for adventure, travel and 4WD camping. His early experiences in Central Otago, including fishing and boating around Lake Dunstan, shaped his love of remote travel.
After travelling the world and later settling in Perth, a trip to Kununurra in a 4WD showed him the scale of what Western Australia could offer and helped inspire a business built around sharing those experiences.
Favourite destinations: Ningaloo Reef and Harry’s Hole, Kununurra.
